Detox 7 is quite a popular colon cleansers in the market. It is made by the Northwest Natural Products which produces a number of health products and seems to develop some reputation in the market.
Detox 7 is a 7 day colon cleansing program as the name suggested. The company makes no claims about weight loss which is quite a different approach from many colon cleanser companies. The product is claimed to be environmentally friendly due to the green power and ‘green lights program’ of the company.
Detox7 is a two step program that consists of fiber packets and detox caplets. Fiber packets contain a mix of herbal fiber which is recommended to be taken once a day with 4 ounces of water. The fiber mix is also a blend of mainly probiotics (also known as friendly bacteria), prune powder, spirulina and wheat grass.
The Caplets are made by gelatin that contains ‘beneficial herbs’ and not very suitable for vegetarians. The capsules contain gingko biloba, licorice, ginger and tumeric which could boost the immune system. Some of them are well recognized detox herbs and quite common in other colon cleansers. Gingko biloba is also able to improve blood circulation.
Positive reviews from the users are more than the negative reviews. Most complaints are able the taste of the colon cleanser and the effectiveness of it. The complaints about the effectiveness of Detox7 is probably due to the lack of ‘harsh’ ingredients such as Cascara Sagrada that promotes more bowel movements.
Since the product doesn’t contain Cascara Sagrada which is a natural laxative, it is safe to use in for long term. The product is sold around $9.99 for a 7 day supply.
